The Group

We are a very active and friendly group of people, from all walks of life, who all have one thing in common a love of walking. Our base is the Crewe and Nantwich area although anyone is welcome to choose us as their group wherever they live.
You don't have to be a member to come on a few walks with us. You can try up to as many as three walks before deciding if you like us enough to join the Ramblers.

If you would like to walk with us but not sure how to start try a SHORT WALK. Information in our walk programme.

Check details for Next Walk.

What do you need ?

Suitable walking boots/shoes, warm and waterproof clothing, a rucksack, picnic lunch and drinks. If you don't have your own transport, you can be sure of a lift if you can get to the initial meeting point. Things you might want to know about when joining us for a walk, grades, meeting places, what to bring, fuel share arrangements etc. More...

Diary : 2018

Annual Dinner : Friday 19th January 2018
At Crewe Golf Club in Haslington, with a sit down meal. Charlotte, Anne's daughter, has kindly agreed to play the Saxophone for us prior to sitting down.
Aim to arrive at 6.45pm for the meal at 7.30pm. The cost is 23.95 a head. Payment is either by cheque or cash, with cheques made payable to South Cheshire Ramblers, payment before Christmas please.
Let Hazel Wallis know as soon as possible if you are attending to enable an estimate of numbers. If you didn't come last year or are new to the group it would be lovely to see you. Menu choices will be collected nearer to the time. Menu ... After dinner the bar staff are happy to play any CD's which members may care to bring. Dance or easy listening.

The Ramblers promotes walking, protects rights of way, campaigns for access to open country and defends the beauty of the countryside.
